Heidi Arizala Showman, MSW, LICSW is the founder, creator and author of the North Star Girls Group Curriculum and of the North Star Girls Group at Camp Program.

Heidi received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. Heidi received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington where much of her study focused on issues related to adolescent girls. It was during her graduate training that Heidi wrote and developed the first edition of the North Star Girls Group Curriculum. Since that time North Star Girls Groups have been successfully run in a variety of schools, as well as at after school programs, community mental health agencies and summer camps. Heidi currently continues to work on the North Star Girls Group Program and has a private mental health counseling practice. She lives in Redmond, Washington with her husband and two young children.
