February 2007: We have made a few updates to the website. I am also continuing to work on the final version of the North Star Girls Group at Camp Program Manual. The Program Manuals and North Star Journals are scheduled to be completed by March 15, 2007.

January 2007: I am pleased to announce the upcoming debut of the North Star Girls Group at Camp Program. This will include new Program Manuals for the facilitators as well as North Star Journals for the girls. There will also be facilitator trainings available. I am currently in the last stages of writing this new version and it will be available for purchase on March 15, 2007. Please check back on this website for pricing and availability at that time. The Girl Scouts Council of Southeastern Iowa has partnered with The North Star Girls Group Project and will be running the North Star Program at Camp this summer (2007).

October 2006: New version of the original North Star Girls Group Curriculum is available for purchase.

October 2005: Complete re-design of the original North Star Girls Group Curriculum. New sessions have been included.

Heidi Arizala Showman, LICSW wrote the original North Star Girls Group Curriculum during her graduate work at the University of Washington in 1997. Since that time North Star Girls Groups have been successfully run at elementary, middle and high school programs as well as at after school programs, community mental health agencies and summer programs.
